Harpoon Hunters Coming To Discovery Channel

Harpoon Hunters follows fishermen in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, who search for the elusive Atlantic bluefin tuna.

Every summer, they use only 10-foot electrified spears to catch the tuna. The harpoon boats have only four weeks to catch their limit, and each fish is worth as much as $10,000.

“Armed with nothing but a spear and raw determination, these elite harpooners put everything on the line, and it’s immensely thrilling to witness,” said Howard Lee, President of Discovery Networks (via Collider).

He also said this was an experience that is like nothing else most people ever experience in life.
