Muscatine show choir

From our Choral Boosters:

"On January 18th, 2020, the MHS show choirs were scheduled to host the 12th Annual River City Showcase, the biggest fundraiser of the year for the MHS Choral Department.

However, due to unsafe weather conditions from a snowstorm, we regretfully had to cancel our fundraiser.

This competition has been cancelled.

Each year this event raises between $15,000 and $25,000 which goes directly to support show choir, jazz choir, clinicians for our curricular choirs, scholarships, and more.

There are approximately 125 students that participated in the MHS show choir program during the 2019-2020 school year, including both River City Rhythm and Encore as well as the combo and crew.

These students put forth much effort as they practice for months in preparation for show choir season, which begins in January each year. To ensure the success of the show choir program at MHS, recouping costs from this year's canceled invitational will be greatly beneficial to our long term success as an organization."
